Spring 2017 Commencement Speaker Application Form

Speaker Requirements: A 3.75 GPA or above and at least 60 credits at the University of Maryland and will graduate in May 2017.
Please send the information below in one email with attachments to:
Important: The subject of your email should be Commencement Speaker and your Last Name.

  1. Resume
  2. Personal statement describing individual achievements and aspirations (no more than two pages)
  3. Draft of possible commencement speech (2-4 minutes long)
  4. In the body of the email, include the names, titles, and email addresses of 2-3 people who can, if requested, provide letters of recommendation (at least one should be a faculty member). You do not need to request these letters up front; we will contact your references directly if needed.
  5. An electronic/digital copy of your unofficial transcript. You may access a copy of your transcript from Testudo by visiting
