This resource was created to supplement the training new advisors receive in their office and to offer a central location for advisors to find important information.
Access recordings of presentations from Advising Conferences, Advisor Learning Network workshops, and other Cross-Campus recorded events and shared resources here. Note: You will need to sign in with your directory ID and password to access the document.
Advisor Reading Group
Advisor Reading Group, a professional opportunity for staff and faculty advisors to come together over lunch to discuss the latest literature on academic advising and student success. Past articles explored the themes of student retention and major exploration.

National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Call for Proposals Tutorial
A tutorial and guide to writing an effective NACADA proposal. The tutorial includes guidelines for writing an effective presentation proposal and guidelines for writing the title and abstract.
Office of the Registrar Training Resources
The Office of the Registrar has a Training Resources site with the goal providing support to faculty and staff in working with academic records, course and classroom scheduling, and data reporting. Training resources available on this site include how-to videos and user guides for campus-wide programs. You are encouraged to continuously check this site for additional training resources, as they become available.
Advise on the Web
Helpful information to use ADVISE on the Web, an application that allows academic advisors to access academic information for students via the web.

ELMS
ELMS, often referred to as Canvas, is a great way for faculty and staff to create an online community for a class or group of students to share thoughts, announcements, resources, and track grades. Information and training materials can be found on the ELMS website or Division of Information Technology’s Design website. Find out when free trainings will take place by checking the calendar.
